The nation's favourite duo is back in their latest adventure as an old foe rears his head in Aardman's fantastic feature adventure Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.

Many years have passed since Wallace & Gromit thwarted the evil plan of Feathers McGraw and put the pesky penguin behind zoo bars. Life is good for the inventor and his trusty sidekick, but Feathers still holds a grudge. After the prolific thief escapes captivity, he wreaks havoc on the town and aims to finish the job he started all those years ago - stealing the Blue Diamond.

Aardman and Nick Park, who first brought us Wallace & Gromit in 1989 in A Grand Day Out, have been at the forefront of British Animation and have become an international name, so when a new project for the duo was announced, fans were incredibly excited. However, after the legendary Peter Sallis, the iconic voice of Wallace, passed away in 2017, fans were curious as to whether Ben Whitehead, the new voice of Wallace, could fill Sallis' boots. Well, do not fear, Whitehead has done a 'cracking' job putting lifelong fans right at ease as if nothing has changed.

The attention to detail, world-building, comedic timing and easter eggs all mould together perfectly to create a cinematic experience that transports you back to your childhood watching the classic adventure of Wallace & Gromit. Although there have been significant advancements in the technology behind clay and stop-motion animation, this outing still feels like it withholds all of the classical elements and little characteristics that make this franchise so special - things such as seeing fingerprints on some of the character models where new mouths or limbs have been lovingly crafted and placed for the next shot.

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is a superb return to form for the iconic duo with plenty of thrills, spills and GNOMES that will have you grinning from ear to ear. I, for one, cannot wait for what these two get up to next.

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer in the UK, and on Netflix from the 3rd of January for International viewers.
